International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students "School and Family Interaction as a Factor in Improving the Quality of the Educational Process"

The International Scientific and Practical Conference of students of Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushinsky and Brest State A.S. Pushkin University "School and Family Interaction as a Factor in Improving the Quality of the Educational Process" took place on 8 December. The event was held in online and offline format. Eleonora Chaichits and Valentin Nesteruk (Faculty of Natural Sciences) and Daria Lanchuk (Socio-Pedagogical Faculty) represented the Belarusian side.

The subject of the research of Belarusian students, who have no practical experience yet, were the students' attitudes towards family, family values, as well as the influence of upbringing in a single-parent family on the formation of a child's personality and ways of harmonising child-parent relations. All the studies were conducted using student survey and analysing the results obtained.

 

Master's students of YaSPU named after K.D. Ushinsky presented their practical experience of interaction with students' families and productive experience of Russian educational institutions. Yaroslavl master's students studied value-conceptual guidelines in the interaction between teachers and families, the content and forms of parental participation in the educational activities of the class, the interaction between family and school in the process of organising common activities, ways of forming a partnership between school and family, forms of interaction between teachers and parents in the process of career guidance work, the role of parents in the work of child-adult self-developing community.

The conference was also attended by its moderators - Head of the Department of Pedagogical Technologies of YaSPU named after K.D. Ushinsky, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor L.V. Bayborodova and Head of the Department of Pedagogy of BrSU, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor T.A. Kovalchuk. They told about the theoretical aspects of the discussed problem, reflection of the presented research results.

All participants of the conference came to the conclusion that such a format of work proposed by L.V. Bayborodova was productive and should be continued in the future.

The Socio-Pedagogical Faculty, Department of Pedagogy express their gratitude to Yaroslavl Pedagogical University for productive co-operation and creation of conditions for joint discussion of students' research results on the actual problem of pedagogical science and practice.
