Arrival and registration

All applicants are informed about the decision on admission to BrSU, they are sent invitations to study and are assisted in obtaining entry visas at the consular departments of the embassies of the Republic of Belarus in their country.

Processing of study visa

The study visa can be applied for at the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Belarus in your country of residence or at the National Airport ‘Minsk’. The requirements for visa application documents may differ from country to country, detailed information on the procedure of obtaining a study visa in your region can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

Arrival in the Republic of Belarus

PLEASE NOTE: Within 10 days after entering the Republic of Belarus, you are obliged to register at your place of residence. To do this, please contact the Department of International Affairs (21, Kosmonautov Boulevard, office 117).

You can arrive in the Republic of Belarus for study by plane or by railway (citizens of the Russian Federation).

If you arrive at the National Airport ‘Minsk’, the most convenient way to Brest is by train or bus (route: Minsk Airport-Minsk Avtovokzal-Minsk-Centralny Railway Station-Minsk Railway Station-Brest-Centralny Railway Station).

The distance from Minsk-2 National Airport to the Central Bus Station is about 45 km. The optimal transport mode in terms of time and cost is buses and shuttle buses.

From Minsk National Airport to Minsk city there are shuttle buses #300E, route taxis #1400-TK, #1430-TK.

You can buy tickets at the ticketing terminal located in the airport building and at the bus stop, from the ticket cashier at the bus stop, or from the bus driver.

The stop point (boarding point) at Minsk National Airport is located in the area of sector 5-6 (1st floor, arrival hall).

Travelling time: about one hour.

In 200 m from the Bus Station (route: Bus Station-Shopping Centre ‘Galileo’-Railway Station) there is a railway station, where trains to Brest depart from.

Within the first month after entering the Republic of Belarus, foreign applicants must submit the following documents to the university's admission office:

  • passport;
  • the original certificate (document) of education with an indication of the subjects studied and the marks (grades) obtained in them – provided that these documents are recognised in the Republic of Belarus in accordance with the established procedure;
  • a certificate of absence of HIV infection (from the country of residence);
  • a medical certificate on the state of health (from the country of residence);
  • a medical certificate on the state of health (from a health care institution in Brest (Polyclinic No. 2, 2 Belova St.).

The documents listed above, executed in a foreign language, shall be accompanied by a notarised translation into Belarusian or Russian at the same time.
