National Universiade in weight-lifting of the year 2017

During the period from November 1 and 3, 2017 the final competition of the National Universiade was being held at the gym hall for weight-lifting of the institution “Sports club of the Federation of Trade Unions”

The competitions were held in eight weight classes. More than 100 weight-lifters from 14 higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus took part in them. Many students put in a strong performance

The team of our university was represented by two athletes who are the students of the Faculty of Physical Training:

Piotr Asaenok, international class Master of Sports in weight-lifting, a member of the  national team of the Republic of Belarus, participant of the Olympic Games-2016 in Rio de Janeiro (6^th place) took first place.

Pavel Dmitriev, Master of Sports in weight-lifting, a winner and a medal winner of national competitions took the 5^th place.
