Open Day 2017

On Saturday, April 1, many young people and their parents were pleased not only with good weather, but also with such a pleasant occasion – the Open Day. Everyone could get the answers to the various questions related to the admission to our university.

All those who wished to participate in the Fair of Specialties were welcomed in the hall of the second floor of the main building. The students of each faculty had prepared the stands for familiarization and booklets, and they were ready to talk about the advantages of studying at their faculties in particular.

Applicants asked myriads of questions about the specialties of our university, as well about the employment prospects. A lively dialogue was especially observed at the stand of the Psycho-Pedagogical Faculty. There was the continuous stream of questions to the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. The improvised hashtag #BRESTFFV, prepared by the Faculty of Physical Education, was very popular among the applicants.

Then, the applicants and their parents attended the meeting with the university administration, where Rector Anna Nikolaevna Sender introduced the Vice-Rectors and the Deans of the Faculties. The Head of the university emphasized, “Brest State A.S. Pushkin University is the oldest higher educational institution, the center for scientific research and cultural-educational life of Brest Region, in which students have an excellent opportunity to realize all their versatile abilities”.

Anna Sender shared her impressions, “We are sincerely glad that so many young people have chosen our university, despite the fact that today similar events are being held in the other universities of the country. It is gratifying that the admission campaign will be held in the significant year for Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, when it was awarded the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for the achievements in the field of quality”. The Rector wished all the applicants to make the right choice of profession and she wished them as well success in the entrance examinations.

Executive secretary of the admission committee Dmitry Vladimirovich Gritsuk provided relevant information about all the steps, which the applicant willing to become a student of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University has to pass.

The meeting was rounded off with a wonderful concert prepared by the Student Club of the university.

The guests shared their impressions of the Open Day.

Veronica said, “I'm going to enter the Faculty of Law. I learned about holding of the Open Day from the letter, which was sent to me after my participating in the Social Studies Contest. I liked everything. I suppose that I will apply exactly to Brest State University, and I will keep the booklet as a memento of today's event”.

Nina presented her views, “The mood is excellent, because I’ve got answers to the questions concerning the process of studying. There was a great deal of useful information. Thank you for the Open Day”.

Anastasia and Ekaterina wouldn’t mind commenting, “We have come today to learn more about the admission procedure. We took a particular interest in the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and managed to get answers to all the questions. The concert program prepared for the conclusion of the meeting is indelibly imprinted on our minds”.

Then, the applicants could become better acquainted with the faculties in particular.

Such events provide an excellent opportunity for the applicants to receive useful information concerning the admission and the education, as well as to decide on their professional future.
