Prize of the Government 2020

On July 15, 2020 a ceremony of awarding the laureates of the Government Prize of the Republic of Belarus for Achievements in the Quality Field was held in the National Library of Belarus. The ceremony was held by Vice-Prime Minister of Belarus Yuri Nazarov. The Commission for Awarding the Government Prize for Quality made a decision to award the title of laureate 2019 to seven organizations of the Republic. The title of the laureate was confirmed by 15 organizations, including the Educational Establishment “Brest State A.S. Pushkin University”.

The Vice-Prime Minister said that “only those companies that build a development strategy based on quality at all stages of activity can be successful: in planning, staff training, production management, as well as in Belarus there are such successful enterprises”. In his opinion, it is possible to get a high assessment of work when you do your favourite thing, give it all your energy and knowledge, when you manage to mobilize and unite your team to achieve results.

Yuriy Nazarov noted that today quality is the most important priority in economic policy of our country. Quick change of technologies, reducing the timeframe for product launch into the market makes everyone actively work to improve their competitiveness. And the competitiveness of products and services is first of all quality.

The Vice-Prime Minister mentioned that the laureates come from different sectors of industry, services, education and science. And these are not only large organizations, but also representatives of small and medium businesses. Products of most of them have also been recognized abroad. Yuri Nazarov wished all participants of the ceremony new achievements, adding that recognition of success is also an additional responsibility. "A true leader is one who shapes standards in his field, inspires others with his example, does not stop at what has been achieved, but develops his business," he summarized.

In turn, Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization Valentin Tataritsky drew attention to the increase in the number of organizations, which at the end of last year became the winners of the award and provided high quality of products (among the awarded - seven new companies, 15 more confirmed their status as leaders in the field of quality for previous periods). He expressed hope that such dynamics will be maintained in the future.

Brest State A.S. Pushkin University at the ceremony of awarding the Government Prize for Achievements in Quality were presented by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Anna N. Sender and the First Vice-Rector, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Sergei N. Severin.

The competition for the Government Award for Achievements in the Quality Field has been held since 1999. The main criteria for participation in it are achievement of significant results in the field of quality assurance and competitiveness of products, works or services, expansion of sales markets, use of progressive management methods and modern technologies, satisfaction of consumers' demands.

The Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for Achievements in the Quality Field is the best award that can be received by an organization that has achieved significant success in producing competitive products and services, has mastered highly effective management methods and advanced technologies.
