Rector of BrSU took part in the First Belarusian-Uzbek Forum of Vocational Education

From 29 April to 1 May, Minsk hosted the I Belarusian-Uzbek Forum of Vocational Education. The event was organised by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Belarus, the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the educational institution "Republican Institute of Vocational Education".

The purpose of the forum is to create an interstate platform for discussion and resolution of a wide range of issues related to the development of secondary specialised and higher education, formation of professional competencies of workers and specialists of the new economic structure, ensuring sustainable growth and development of interstate cooperation.

The event was attended by a delegation of leaders of various levels of the education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation K.A. Sharipov. The delegation included heads of the Institute for the Development of Professional Education under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, rectors of leading Uzbek universities, and directors of vocational education institutions.

Heads of Belarusian universities and colleges, representatives of scientific and educational organisations, ministries and departments, represented the Belarusian side.

On 29 April 2024, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics hosted a session of Section I of the Belarusian-Uzbek Forum of Vocational Education. Within its framework, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Brest State A.S. Pushkin University and Bukhara State University. Also, the Rector of the Brest State A.S. Pushkin University Y.P. Golubev and the Rector of the Berdakh Karakalpak State University A.M. Reimov signed the Roadmap of Cooperation for 2024.

On 30 April 2024 at the plenary session of the I Belarusian-Uzbek Forum of Vocational Education a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Brest State A.S. Pushkin University and Andijan Machine-Building Institute.
