Students of BrSU at the celebration of saying goodbye to winter
On February 22 students of our university as animators and artists took part in the annual holiday “Snow Maiden's Seeing Off” as part of the gastronomic festival “Pushchansky Smak” in the State Nature Protection Institution "Belovezhskaya Pushcha". Yelizaveta Matsuka, Aleksandra Bulokhova, Anna Matsuka, Vitaly Kudlasevich, Julia Dubinko (department of geography), Ekaterina Lyushakova, Anna Krivetskaya (department of foreign languages), Alexandra Myshlennik (department of history), Anastasia Omelyanovich (department of law), Maria Nikityuk (department of physics and mathematics) and Yelizaveta Vinogradova (department of philology).
During the celebration, students-animators held a quest “Fairytale Journey” for visitors to the national park. The guests of the celebration specially stopped at the glade of fairy tales, at the main fir-tree and the oriental calendar alley to make wishes.
Everyone had a unique opportunity to look in the Snow Maiden's mirror. It is believed that women who saw their reflection in it are getting younger and better, men are getting stronger and children are getting more obedient.
The festive mood was set by performing vocalists, including students of BrSU.
And the bonus was tasting of dishes presented at the gastronomic festival. Shish kebab of wild animals’ meat, meat with mushrooms, blueberries and cranberries, bison under honey - culinary delights pleased the participants and guests of the festival.
At the end of the event Snow Maiden with the daughters of Father Frost – Stuzha, Vyuga and Metelitsa – took a carriage and went to the South Pole of Antarctica. And it means that spring is coming and in a week another holiday – Shrovetide – will be held in this park.
