Winter season at the State Nature Protection Institution “National Park “Belovezhskaya Pushcha””
This year the student squad “Pushchanka” consisting of 23 persons gathered students of the Departments of Geography (14 persons), Law, History, Social Pedagogics, Physics and Mathematics and Foreign Languages.
We spent an unforgettable month at the National Park “Belovezhskaya Pushcha”. We worked actively in the Museum of Nature (commander – Ksenia Gromik, commissar – Alexandra Leonova) and on the Father Frost Estate (commander – Roman Grishin, commissar – Anna Matsuka). With our help in the Museum of Nature every visitor could get acquainted with the history of the primitive forest and its inhabitants, and on the Estate – dip into the fairy tale, meet Father Frost, walk 15 “fabulous” hectares and make 100 wishes!
Kristina Melnikova, a second-year student of the specialty “Tourism and Hospitality” shared her impressions: “This year I visited the Father Frost Estate of Belarus for the first time and got an opportunity to take part in the process of creating magic. Helping Father Frost in his difficult, but such important things, I imbibed the atmosphere of happiness, joy and magic. The Father Frost Estate has left me unforgettable impressions and memories that will keep me warm until the next visit to this magical place! And rest assured that next year I will definitely come back for new unforgettable memories filled with magic!”
Also shared her wonderful impressions Alexandra Leonova, a fourth year student of the specialty “Geography”, who has always come to work in the “Museum of Nature” for the fourth season: “Working in the museum gave only positive emotions and wonderful impressions. It was a good opportunity to dip into the world of plants and animals of Belovezhskaya Pushcha, to learn new facts from the history of the National Park, the life of its inhabitants and, of course, to share the acquired luggage of knowledge with people from different countries”.
We all had jobs to like. This month not only gave us new knowledge and skills, but also helped us make new friends. Communicating with new people (even a foreign language has managed to improve), fresh air and rest from the city bustle... and what could be better for a student of the Department of Geography?
Every working day left new colors in my memory, brought joy and a smile. It was not the first time that many of us worked in the service student squad in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, so it was not so difficult to combine study with work. After all, when you do your favorite thing, it is much easier to cope with all difficulties. We returned to the university with unforgettable impressions, full of energy and strength for the upcoming session.
The student squad “Pushchanka” expresses huge gratitude for the given opportunity to work at the National Park “Belovezhskaya Pushcha” the Dean of the Department of Geography Irina Abramova and the primary organization of BRSM. We also thank Lyudmila Parfenyuk and Lyudmila Grechanik for the help and support of our immediate supervisors.
