Foreign students’ festival: the closure of “Burn, star, and grow stronger, friendship!”
A holiday of closure of foreign students’ festival “Burn, star, and grow stronger, friendship” took place on the 12th of March 2014 in the hall of Center of Youth Creativity.
The festival has been organized by the Department of the General and Russian Linguistics, student and sport clubs, department of the educational work with young people, and also a committee “Belarusian Republican Youth Unity”, Faculty of Preparatory Education and some other faculties. The programme of the festival was quite extensive: from intellectual tournaments to sport and entertaining events.
It’s already become a tradition to get awarded gratitude by rector Mechyslau Chasnouski. This year Yunus Bekchanov (Faculty of Law) was granted such an award. In addition, the rector announced that on the eve of the holiday the parents of the many well-deserved foreign students will become the thank-you letters. Also the winners of the Olympiad in the Russian language, rhetorical contest “I Study Eloquence”, contest of multimedia projects “Belarus in the eyes of the foreign students” and also the competition of the wall newspapers “Welcome To Belarus – it’s my student life” were awarded diplomas.
Actually, it’s not without surprises. Foreign students presented to Mechyslau Chasnouski a gift – the traditional costume of the Turkmen horseman!
When the awards were given, guys were able to show off all the edges of their talents. The songs and instrumental tracks were heard from the stage and foot-tapping national dances left no one indifferent. The final chord of the holiday was the song "Hope", which, according to the tradition, was performed together by singers and audience.
