Online conference at the Foreign Languages Department
On November 18, 2016 the students of the 4th and 5th years of the Foreign Languages Department participated in the online conference "The dual education and its role in the German education system", which was held at Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. (For reference: The dual education system is the education system, which provides a combination of training in an educational institution with periods of industrial activity. In contrast to the customary practice during the study, the dual education program implies the simultaneous acquisition of both theoretical and practical knowledge.)
The conference was organized by the Department of German Philology of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University and by the Department of Roman-Germanic Philology of Y. Kupala SU of Grodno with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The meeting became the third successful interactive project implemented by two Belarusian universities. The presented reports were not only a stimulus for discussion, but they also helped the students to deepen their knowledge in academic disciplines "German for special purposes" and "Discursive practice".
At the end of the event the collected conference proceedings and souvenirs from DAAD were presented to the students. The conference participants noted the effectiveness of online interactions that gave the ability to communicate and study without any barriers.
