University competition "The Queen of Fitness"

On December 21 the university competition "The Queen of Fitness" was held at the sports complex of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. All the students willing to participate in the competition had such an opportunity. The event was held in order to promote among students fitness in particular and healthy lifestyle through their physical development as a whole, as well as to stimulate students’ broad participation in cultural life of the university and to select students for the university fitness team.

Fans and spectators were represented by the classmates of the contestants. The girls were under the equal conditions at the tournament: none of them had professional training. The main criteria for evaluating the contestants were the rhythm and the coordination of movements, as well as the ability to adapt to unfamiliar movements. Fair jury, represented by the teaching staff of the Faculty of Physical Education, selected the winners in five categories:

• The winner of the competition became Daria Kurgan (Faculty of History), who was awarded the Audience Prize
• The first Vice-Miss – Tatiana Tolstych (Faculty of Geography)
• The second Vice-Miss – Tatiana Kornelyuk (Faculty of Psychology and Education)
• Miss Grace – Alina Osochuk (Faculty of Physics and Mathematics).
