IV International Student Competition “Mediation of the Future”

The IV International Student Competition “Mediation of the Future” was held in Minsk from November 7 to 9, 2019. The team of the Department of Law consisting of Dordyuk Vladislav and Dudchik Anna took part in the competition as a negotiating team. The coach of the team was Olga Yakovlevna Slivko, Senior Lecturer of the Chair of Theory and History of State and Law.

This year's competition brought together over 20 teams from Belarus and Russia: from Brest to Vladivostok, from St. Petersburg to Krasnodar. For three days the students participated in oral Round Table and listened to master-classes of leading international mediators.

The competition is an innovative form of educational competition, held as a business game. Student teams are given the opportunity to resolve specific conflicts through mediation and acquire negotiation skills in difficult situations. Negotiation teams and mediator teams take part in the competition.

Our team has won one of the prestigious awards of the competition. Dordyuk Vladislav was named as “The Best Speaker”!

The contest is organized every year by the Training and Practical Institution “The Center for Mediation and Negotiation” (Minsk, Belarus) with the support of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
