Chairman of the Central Committee of the branch trade union met with the labor staff of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University
Within the framework of the visit to Brest and Brest region on July 31, 2020 the educational establishment “Brest State A.S. Pushkin University” was visited by the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers Tatiana R. Yakubovich.
Тatiana R. Jakubovich met with the staff of the University. She was introduced to the University staff by Anna N. Sender, Rector of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, and Ivan I. Vasilenko, Chairman of the Brest Regional Committee of the Branch Trade Union.
In her speech, Tatyana noted the fundamental directions of social partnership in the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus – the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers; she emphasized the role of sectoral agreement and "local" collective agreements; told about the participation of sectoral trade union in the work on the new Code of Education of the Republic of Belarus. The presentation also highlighted the role of trade unions in preventing and spreading coronavirus infection (the trade union's contribution to the fight against the pandemic in the second quarter of 2020 was more than $1 million).
The participants of the meeting were presented with the position of the branch trade union in the field of labor salaries, lump-sum payment for health improvement, etc.
They also discussed the activities of primary trade union organizations and the role of youth in the modern trade union movement.
At the end of the meeting Tatiana R. Jakubovich and Anna N. Sender shared memorable gifts and took a common commemorative photo.
