International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Art of the Word in the Dialogue of Cultures"
The traditional international scientific-practical conference "Word Art in the Dialogue of Cultures" was held at the Faculty of Philology on 22 March. This year the subject field of the forum is related to the issues of word art functioning in the new communication dimension. Almost 100 representatives of the scientific community announced their participation in the conference in full-time, distance and correspondence formats. The international status of the conference was confirmed by the reports of scientists from Belarus, Russia, China and Kazakhstan.
At the plenary session six reports were presented. Zoya Petrovna Melnikova, Professor of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, Doctor of Philological Sciences, opened the conference with a report on the anniversary writers V. Bykov and V. Astafiev.
The audience learnt about new functions of the word in the media space from the report of Viktor Ivanovich Ivchenkov, Professor of Belarusian State University, Doctor of Philological Sciences.
Professors, Doctors of Philological Sciences Irina Viktorovna Romanova, and Larisa Viktorovna Pavlova of Smolensk State University devoted a report to the "Armenian" text of Russian poetry.
Professors of Volgograd Socio-Pedagogical University, doctors of philological sciences Larisa Nikolaevna Savina and Svetlana Valentinovna Perevalova introduced the audience to the work of Volgograd writer S.N. Sinyakin.
A video report on the communicative parameters of the modern oral narrative of Brest region was prepared by the Director of the Centre for Belarus Studies of Anhui University, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Inna Anatolievna Shved.
The plenary session was concluded by Linera Beisenbekovna Yesimbaeva, Manager of International Cooperation of the Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan, with a report on the "language of victories" in sports journalism.
After the break, the forum continued in section meetings.
